Example sentences can be toggled on or off within the study session pause screen.

Press 'Pause' (in the top right), and then click 'Example Sentences'.

Example sentences provide context for the words you are learning, which has been proven to increase your understanding and improve your odds of remembering it.

As of April 2021, we have example sentences for every word in the HSK exam levels 1-4, and half of HSK 5. We continue to add new sentences. Our first target is to complete sentences all 6 HSK levels (5,000) words. We will then start working on the new HSK (10,000+ words). 

As the HSK exam covers frequently used words, many other lists you are studying from will benefit from the sentences created for the words found in the HSK.
