Tone Marks

There is no universal standard for which tone marks to use on Pinyin.

In Hack Chinese, you can choose from 3 options:

OriginalSpokenBoth
nǐ
hǎo
ní
hǎo
ní
nǐ
hǎo
hǎo
Marks reflect the original tones, unchanged by tone-change rules.

Most resources we've seen use original tones.
Tone marks reflect the spoken tones, taking into account tone-change rules. (Note the í in 你, changed from nǐ).Both the spoken tones, and the original unchanged tones are displayed for complete understanding.

"Both" is the default in Hack Chinese.
